Red House
Red House is a distinctive collection of traditional woven jacquards. The
collection was inspired by the preeminent English textile designer of the Arts & Crafts movement; William Morris. ‘Red House’ refers to the family home that Morris designed that was decorated entirely in his ownbespoke designs, inspired by the flora of his local environment in 19th century Britain.
The collection’s two feature designs, Bloomsbury and Kelmscott, are large decorative botanical motifs, which coordinate back with smaller vintage inspired patterns of Kennet, Fitzroy, Baron & Heygate. Verona, the coordinating plain, has a rich chenille face and soft handle, whilst providing durable performance.
The tarnished tones of the 4 colourways echo Morris’s original colour palette of Scarlet Red & Gold and deep Cabernet and Brindle.
Made in Australia, this collection provides vintage appeal that will suit a contemporary or period home and make a timeless statement.
