Tritan Moisture Barrier

Tritan is a full range of high performance, easy clean fabrics with water repellent and anti-microbial characteristics for the aged care, hospitality and commercial upholstery applications. Developed in Australia combining international commercial fabric standards, with the benefits of prompt local supply and reduced costs.

All Tritan fabrics offer significant advantages to the discerning commercial buyer, including fire retardant properties, commercial grade abrasion rating, resistance to liquid absorption, anti-microbial properties, are environmentally and user friendly. Tritan’s easy clean fabric surface provides a solution to maintenance and long term aesthetics of furniture.

Easy Clean Moisture Barrier

Tritan protects interior upholstery constructions by eliminating problems caused by liquid penetration and incontinence. The easy clean fabric surface provides a solution to maintenance and long term aesthetics of furniture.

FR Protection

Tritan fabrics have been tested to comply with ASNZ 1530.3. Building Code of Australia regulations include; Spread of Flame Index, Smoke Developed Index, Flammability Index.

Tritan® Treatment

Our Tritan treatment is odour free, bio-degradable, noncarcinogenic, and contains no heavy metals. It is classed as a non-dangerous chemical.

Antibacterial, Antimicrobial

Its efficacy is shown to inhibit a wide range of microorganisms including bacteria, moulds, yeasts and algae. Most significant of which is its effectiveness against Staphylococcus aureus A129. Warwick Tritan fabrics are compatible with independent retail fabric protection and guarantee programs. These programs may enhance the fabrics ability to resist liquid staining by providing a spill repellent surface and/or warranties to cover accidental damage. They will not reduce the efficacy of the Tritan treatment.

Care Information

Regular Care (weekly)

  1. Vacuum regularly using low suction
  2. Rotate reversible cushions regularly
  3. Protect from direct sunlight

Cleaning

  1. Do not wash or dry clean. Do not remove cushion covers for separate cleaning even though they may have zippers.
  2. Clean with hot water extraction machine (hot). Do not wet filling.
  3. Dry in shade away from direct heat.
  4. Allow to dry thoroughly before reuse.

Spot Cleaning

  1. Treat spill stains as soon as possible. Pre-test cleaning method on a hidden part of the furniture. Scrape off any soil or mop any liquid from the surface of the fabric. Sponge fabric with plain water and mild soap solution, a powdered enzyme detergent mixed with water is preferred.
  2. Do not use very hot water. Specialised upholstery shampoo, water based cleaning products and mild germicidal detergents may also be used. For stubborn stains a liquid stain remover mixed with water may also be applied gently. Do not scrub.
  3. Rinse off all cleaning products completely.
  4. When arranging your furniture take care to avoid contact with external walls or radiators.
  5. Annual professional cleaning recommended.

 

Bleach Cleaning/Disinfection*

Mix 5% bleach (sodium hypochlorite) with 95% water. 
Pre-test cleaning method on a hidden part of the furniture. The bleach solution can remain on the fabric surface for up to 10-minutes after which the bleach solution must be thoroughly rinsed from the fabric using a water extraction machine filled with cold water. Once thoroughly rinsed, extract any residual moisture and allow to dry at room temperature. Furniture must be dry before being reused.*Not all qualities can be bleach cleaned. Please refer to your care label.

Pilling

Can occur occasionally as a result of normal daily wear and should not be considered as a fault. Fibre pills can be removed by a battery operated pilling tool available from most haberdashery stores

Guarantee

Since 1966 Warwick have supplied fine furnishing fabrics which have been quality tested to world standards for performance, durability and safety.

For a period of three years for commercial applications, we guarantee to replace any fabric which is found to be faulty as a result of manufacturing defect and which has been used in accordance with our performance ratings and care instructions.

The Warwick Quality Guarantee is additional to all statutory rights and remedies that are available to our customers under Australian Consumer Law.In the event of any fabric claim Warwick customers will be provided with a comprehensive service form to be completed and returned to Warwick to facilitate prompt processing.
